"the flood"

A few weeks ago we had major flooding in middle TN. On Sunday Jared went out to see what it looked like.
This is coming down our driveway. That's the little culvert we have going over our small stream.
This is on our road down from our driveway a little.

One of our neighbors on our road.

The street in front of our road was flooded.

One of the many roads that was flooded.

The spring house at the land Jared's parents own.

more flooding

blocked roads...
5 chefs, a little restaurant in Portland.

more flooding
...
And this is not even close to how deep the waters got in Nashville!

more road closings
you can see people in the top rt corner
...
people stuck, waiting for someone to rescue them
The water washed out under the railroad
more railroad pics.
...
poor horses. These people wanted us to come get there horses, but luckily by the time we were to get the trailer hooked up the waters had reseeded quite a bit!

road breaking away!

....

Later that day I took Lyla out to play in the puddles

not sure what to think

Wiping the hair out of her eyes.

Ooo! an umbrella

After splashing around in the water, Lyla decided to sit in it. So funny! She had a good time, and later we went over to Tessa's house to play in a little creak that had formed in there backyard.

All Wet!

Doesn't look like it here, but she had a great time!
